About Us

Made up of three regions and fourteen local authority areas, mksm is a diverse area, covering a variety of popular urban and rural centres - each growing rapidly and with their own strengths on offer.

High level leadership is provided by the Ministerial-chaired mksm Inter Regional Board. Below this, a strong network of partnership structures exist. This is set out in the Governance section, which shows how the three mksm regions are working together to achieve sustainable growth.

A small Executive Team acts as secretariat to the mksm Inter Regional Board, supporting the thematic groups and individual partners. The Team sets the Business Plan and work programme on behalf of the IRB, and promotes partnership working and common priorities across the mksm area.
