Milton Keynes
The Milton Keynes growth area follows the Milton Keynes municipal boundary, with growth planned in the centre and on expansion areas of its urban fringe. In total, some 42,245 homes and 48,700 jobs are planned across this area.
Milton Keynes has been developing for over forty years, growing into an area of city scale proportion. It has developed a renowned shopping centre at the centre:mk, plus a range of excellent leisure venues within the centre, including the MK stadium (now home to MK Dons and part of England 2018 World Cup bid), the Milton Keynes Theatre and Gallery, XScape and Milton Keynes Bowl.
Like the rest of mksm, Milton Keynes has excellent north south road and rail links, mid-way between the midlands and London, and is only 30 minutes from London Euston. This connectivity supports Milton Keynes offer as a major regional employer.

Milton Keynes Partnership
Milton Keynes Partnership (MKP) was created in 2004 and is a sub-committee of the Homes and Communities Agency. It has planning powers for expansion areas on the fringes of Milton Keynes’ existing urban areas. MKP also works on inward investment for the area and has the responsibility for HCA land holdings within the Milton Keynes.
