North Northamptonshire

Overall, 52,100 homes and 47,400 jobs have been planned for the North Northamptonshire area – in part through expansion of the urban centres of Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough.

These three principal town centres of North Northants are each being regenerated, including major retail expansion. These centres are set within an offer of beautiful open countryside and a range of leisure attractions including Rockingham speedway, Salcey Forest, the River Nene Regional Park and a range of stately homes and gardens.

With good connectivity, the area has successfully attracted a range of distribution centres to create new employment to combat the decline of more traditional industries. There is much more to offer though, with a range of employment and business sites under development, including the Corby Enterprise Centre. And with Corby’s new train station with direct links to London now open, the area’s connectivity and appeal has been given an extra boost.

North Northants Development Company

North Northamptonshire Development Company (NNDC) is an Urban Regeneration Company. As such it has the powers to hold and acquire land. Its creation was brought about by the merger of North Northants Together Partnership and Catalyst Corby (a URC) in May 2006.

NNDC operates across Northamptonshire districts of Kettering, Corby Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire Councils, co-ordinating and supporting the infrastructure requirement for the scale of growth and regeneration planned for the area.
