The MKSM area straddles three Strategic Health Authority areas. NHS services are commissioned by 5 Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) (Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, Luton, and Buckinghamshire).

The MKSM Health and Social Care Group works across boundaries with the aim of planning the health and social care needs of the growing MKSM population and enabling the development of healthy, sustainable communities. This will be best achieved by working closely with local communities and their representatives ensuring they develop a strong united voice that is able to influence key decisions taken and investments made in the sub-region to ensure that these have a positive impact on health and well-being.
