Strategic Transport Board

The Strategic Transport Board works together to strengthen sub-regional working and capacity, including identifying and championing the strategic transport priorities for mksm which support growth. It produced the Inter Urban Transport Strategy for mksm and is supporting the work on DaSTS studies into developing smarter transport options to support mksm’s growth. The Board meets quarterly and also looks at performance and risk management within the transport context.

Role:

• prepare and keep under review an mksm transport business plan and evidence base;
• performance / risk manage strategic transport priorities;
• align and promote mksm transport interests through joint working and external promotion / lobbying;
• prepare an integrated transport strategy for the mksm area, and follow up research/actions as required.
